Brent's Computers blasts Security Federal

T-bone Adams of Brent's Computers takes aim and fires the ball over to first base for an out in the 11-1 win over Security Federal.

Brent’s Computers has been on a tear this season and Tuesday was no exception. The evening kicked off the first semifinal game in the 7-8-year-old machine pitch league tournament with a contest between Brent’s Computers against Security Federal.
Brent’s Computers features an explosive offense without much slow down and Tuesday night its defense was on point as well. Security Federal fell into a hole early on and unfortunately the hole got progressively deeper as the game continued.
In the top of the first, Security Federal went three up, three down.
In the bottom of the inning, Brent’s Computers got it going with a lead-off single from Braylen Moore. Corban Felton hit a blast through the defense and earned himself a double for his effort while Moore scampered across the plate for a 1-0 lead. T-bone Adams upped the ante with a triple to clear the bases and allowed Felton to cross the plate for a 2-0 lead. Security Federal stepped up its defense and picked up two quick back-to-back outs. Tristan Myers singled and Adams was able to touch home plate and Brent’s Computers went up 3-0 just before the third out was made.
Security Federal was back at the plate in the top of the second. Brody Womack crushed his pitch to the deepest part of the outfield for a home run for Security Federal and Womack cut into the lead at 3-1. Jaxon Grissom reached first base with a line-drive base hit for a single. Two consecutive ground balls for outs had two down but Grissom had advanced to third base. A strikeout ended the inning and left Grissom stranded on third.
In the bottom of the second, Brent’s Computers picked up two quick outs before Ethan Kisamore was able to reach first base with a single through the defense but a strikeout followed for the final out of the inning and Kisamore did not get any further.
In the third inning, the Security Federal offense took a break from scoring runs. Devon Grayson was the only batter to reach base on a single. With three quick outs the inning was over and the defense was headed back out onto the field.
In the bottom of the third, Brent’s Computers led the inning off with a strikeout. Felton got the offense started when he smashed a double into the gap. Adams stepped to the plate with Felton on second base and jumped on a pitch and turned on the afterburners for a two-run home run. Brent’s Computers extended its lead to 5-1. A second strikeout was recorded for the second out of the inning. Lake Sadlon and Myers had a pair of back-to-back base hits but out three came and two runners were left stranded.
Security Federal needed runs and the top of the fourth started off on the wrong foot. Two consecutive outs with no base runners had Security Federal on the ropes. Hayden Holston found a hole in the defense and reached first base with a single. The final out of the inning followed and held Security Federal scoreless for the second straight inning.
Brent’s Computers found its mojo in the bottom of the fourth and it started with a single by Jaylen Manier. Matthew Crimm fell right in behind him with a huge double and Manier crossed the plate for a 6-1 lead. Kisamore followed with a second consecutive double and he advanced Crimm to home for a 7-1 lead.
The Security Federal defense looked to be in trouble but it responded with two quick outs. Felton and Adams combined for a pair of doubles, Kisamore and Felton crossed pushing the lead to 9-1. Casen Youngblood went deep with a blast into the outfield for a triple. Adams scored to make it a 10-1 lead. Myers reached second with a double and he crossed the plate for the final run of the inning and Brent’s Computers held an 11-1 lead before a strikeout ended the inning.
The game ended for Security Federal just as it had started, three up, three down. Brent’s Computers defeated Security Federal by a final score of 11-1 and Brent’s Computers advances to the championship game tonight.
