Boyd point guard Jake Jones, shown in action Friday night, finished with 8 points Monday against Richard Hardy.

Boyd was too big, too fast, and simply too good for Richard Hardy on Monday night.

The Broncos received 29 points from Sam Page and 22 from Christian Rogers during an 84-52 win in McMinnville.

The victory improves the Broncos to 6-7 in high school action.

Page was the story of the game, especially in the first quarter. He was determined to control the tempo and he scored at a dizzying pace.

Page drained three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points. That wasn’t for the game. That was just in the opening quarter.

Richard Hardy (3-2) didn’t have an answer as Boyd was up 29-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Broncos would lead by double digits the rest of the way.

Boyd had a clear advantage in the middle. Jon McGee finished with 8 points and was a dominant force on defense with 5 blocks. Ashton Forth also took advantage of his size and scored 10 points.

Mason Westlake added an exclamation point on the night when he dribbled in for a layup as the final buzzer sounded.

The Broncos finished with eight 3-pointers.
