Boyd takes third in MTAC tournament

They weren’t able to defend their MTAC championship, but the Boyd Lady Broncos didn’t leave the tournament empty handed. Boyd took third in the MTAC tournament over the weekend, defeating Franklin Christian Academy 50-37 in Saturday’s con-solation game held at Christian Community School. The Lady Broncos fell into the consolation game following Friday’s 47-34 loss to Western Kentucky in the tourna-ment semifinals.Alaina Stiles, who was honored last week as an MTAC all-confer-ence performer, scored a game-high 22 points in the consolation game to lead the Lady Broncos to victory.
