Boyd Broncos outlast Dekalb West Bulldogs

After its 9-1 victory against Burk on the road Saturday, the Boyd Bronco baseball team was back in action Monday night traveling to DeKalb County to take on the DeKalb West Bulldogs. The Broncos extended their winning streak to eight games with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs, putting their overall record at 14-3.The game didn’t see either team score until the top of the fourth when the Broncos scored two runs and that was the difference in the game.Hayden Lytle led the charge for the Broncos, going 2-for-2 with two singles and a run scored. Isaiah Owens picked up the win on the mound, going five innings, allowing four hits, and striking out three Bulldogs.The Broncos had runners on base in the top of the first inning but didn’t see a run cross the plate.
