The Warren County Blue Raiders hadn’t lost a game in two years entering the Midget League championship game and C.J. Taylor helped keep the undefeated streak alive.Taylor rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns as the Blue Raiders defeated the Warren County Vols 20-6 to claim their second straight championship.The Blue Raiders knew they faced a tough test against the Vols and decided to lean heavily on their star tailback. Taylor carried the ball 18 times, 15 of which came in the first half as the Blue Raiders saw their star go for 165 yards and two touchdowns.The Blue Raiders began the game with the ball at their own 30. The team went right to work on the ground as Taylor and quarterback Clay Thompson alternated rushing off the right edge for big gains.Taylor and Thompson combined for nine straight carries, the last of which was a four-yard gallop to the endzone by Taylor with 3:58 to play in the first quarter.The Blue Raiders tried to expand their lead to eight with a QB draw by Thompson, but Darrius Martin stuffed the play to keep it a six-point game.It didn’t take the Vols long to knot the score at six.
