When the lights went out and the music started playing, the excitement level at JK Stanley Gymnasium went through the roof. Boyd never lost the energy at home Monday as both its teams were able to beat Irving College on opening night. The Lady Broncos topped Irving College 19-11 and the Broncos showed off their speed by blitzing the Tigers 39-18.
