Charlie Dalton Gym was packed to capacity for six basketball games Friday night, but even the family of Hailey Taylor wouldn’t have imagined the basketball benefit would be such a success.On a night where the Warren County Middle School and Warren County High School teams suited up for a fundraiser named, “Playing for Hailey,” donations and silent auction purchases totaled $7,500 to help the Taylor family.Hailey is a seventh-grader who was recently treated for a brain tumor. The school has been doing many fundraisers for the family since the operation, but none was bigger than Friday night.Fans who turned out not only were able to make a big impact with the Taylor family, they were also treated to a night of exciting basketball.The fifth- and sixth-grade Pioneer and Lady Pioneer basketball teams kicked off the action by playing against each other. It was a matchup of undefeated teams as each currently leads their respective Warren County elementary leagues with 8-0 records.
