My friend Phillip Stout called me the other day to see how I was feeling and I was delighted to tell him that I had been doing well. Of course, as with friends, the conversation got around to other subjects and he said something about someone being as mad or ill as a hornet. It's a saying I have heard as long as I can remember, but it hasn’t been brought to mind in quite some time.
