The Pure Michigan 400 was not too exciting a race for those fans watching on TV. There were 20 lead changes but only two of them occurred during green flag runs. Only four caution flags were waved, one a competition caution, two for debris on the track, and one for Kyle Busch’s spin. Long green flag runs were great for cars running up front in clean air while the rest of the field struggled with loose cars.
