Can you stab a guy in the middle of Applebee’s and get away with it? Apparently so.In what’s been a popular topic of conversation since Wednesday’s verdict, Jeffery Morton was acquitted on all charges for slashing Charles Cole at Applebee’s last November.While I’m not in vocal disagreement with the verdict, I did find it a bit surprising. I thought Morton would probably escape aggravated assault charges and be convicted of a lesser criminal offense such as simple assault.
