What if wild animals are damaging property?

TO THE EDITOR:Reading the article about the bear sighting in the Mud Creek area should make each of us think. What are our rights to protect our family or ourselves from a bear?Based on the article, we should stay away from bears. From other articles I have seen, you could spend five years in prison and be fined $5,000 for killing a bear.
