TO THE EDITOR:I burst out laughing when I read the letter on June 8 about the value of liberal programs. The examples used were Social Security and Medicare.They keep talking about how to save Social Security -- increase the retirement age, again. Or tax the upper income people more.Medicare has a lot to do with the fact our government (or we) are $20 trillion in debt.I guess when you are getting something for nothing, or close to it, our future generations will be left with the bill.
