Let's talk metro government

By JAMES CLARK You’d think we were in the middle of a dog show the way local officials have been muzzled about the city’s lawsuit against the county. In a move that seems contrary to freedom of speech and the public’s right to know what our government is doing, a judge has ordered everyone involved in city-county lawsuit negotiations to keep quiet. Shhhh! It’s as if the lawsuit is a matter of national security. If anyone talks about negotiations, Centertown may be destroyed.I understand the lawsuit could be a financial jackpot as the city tries to pry an estimated $2 million in annual sales tax revenue away from the county.
