The good news is Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan was convicted Friday of murder in the 2009 shooting massacre at Fort Hood, Texas. The bad news is this mass murderer was never charged as a terrorist, which is what he demonstrably was. What else do you call a shooting rage, painstakingly planned and perpetrated by a radical muslim, who shouted “Allahu akbar-Arabic” for “God is great!” before opening fire on his unarmed victims, killing a civilian doctor and 12 soldiers, including a pregnant private who curled on the floor and pleaded for her baby’s life? The truth is you call him a terrorist-unless you’re part of the “politically correct” political and military establishment. Then you tiptoe around the truth and resort to euphemisms such as “workplace violence”– even when the preponderance of evidence proves it was no such thing. For starters, this heinous crime was carried out in a crowded medical facility waiting room.
