This Thursday we continue the time-honored tradition of celebrating Independence Day in the USA. Our Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 of our founding fathers, effective July 4, 1776. By that date, the American colonies had already been at war with Great Britain since the battles of Concord and Lexington, Mass., in April 1775.
