I thought Warren County was having a hot summer with the oppressive humidity and the rainforest-like midday showers that are akin to dumping water on the rocks in a sauna. Then, I went to Jacksonville this past week and learned what being uncomfortably hot really means.I drove down to Florida for the National Exchange Club Conference that was held at the Hyatt Regency by the St. John’s River. Before I left here, someone warned me about the humidity this time of year in Jacksonville.“It couldn’t be any worse than McMinnville,” I said, wiping the sweat from my brow, truly believing at that point the Nursery Capital was the most hot and sticky place on the planet.In case you didn’t know, I’m a sweaty guy during the summer.
