It wasn’t exactly the Oscars, but it had the red carpet feel Friday night when I returned to the prom for the first time in many, many years.It was 1983 when I sported my hideous baby blue tux and went to my prom. I don’t recall anything spectacular about it other than our class song “Still They Ride” by Journey was played at the end of the night, amid controversy that continues to flourish to this day. For those who are wondering, it seems there was a song called “Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers” by ZZ Top which was the overwhelming pick of the class to be the class song.
