Winona Pauline Martin Ward, 94, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born May 24, 1922 and died Nov. 30 in Raintree Manor following an extended illness.She was a retired food service employee with Warren County High School, member of Armstrong Church of Christ and daughter of the late Walter and Louise Hillis Martin. Mrs. Ward was married May 9, 1946 to Marion Thomas Ward, who preceded her in death Nov. 25, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Jean Ward; and brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Faith Martin.Survivors include, two sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Janice Ward and Gary Ward, all of McMinnville; three grandsons, Cory Ward and wife Erin, Jeremy Ward and Ashley Myers and Shawn Ward and wife Vanessa, all of McMinnville; nine great-grandchildren, Raven, Zarek, Synthia, River, Benjamin, Ean, Briley, Cameron and Kellsi; sister, Juanita Oliver of McMinnville; cousin, Walene Byars of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 3 in High’s Chapel with Trent Key and Johnny Lance officiating.
