Mr. William Thomas Farless, 79, of McMinnville died Tuesday May 10, at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. 

He was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Van Buren County, was retired from the local Carrier plant, and was a member of East End Church of Christ. Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger, was a life-long barber, and an avid UT football fan. Mr. Farless was preceded in death by parents John Herman and Delma Hillis Farless, sister Wavie Schrecengost, and brothers Carson Farless and Leonard Farless.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Janice Farless, daughter Christy Brenna Farless, son William Thomas (April Dawn) Farless Jr., grandson Elijah Reed Farless, brothers Linson Farless and Troy Farless, sisters Earlene Jennings and Debra Bess, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kevin Key will officiate. Interment will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County. The family received friends Thursday and will again on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
