William Nelson Grissom, 83, of McMinnville (Highland community) died Monday, Dec. 5 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 14, 1928 in Warren County and was the former owner of Grissom’s Processing Plant, and a member of Highland Church of Christ. Mr. Grissom was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Kenneth and Plina Retha Jones Grissom; sisters, Christine Thomas and Betty Ann Hill; and brother, John Grissom.
Survivors include his wife Maxine Fisher Grissom; daughters Renee and Mike Johnson of McMinnville, Carrie and David Huckeby of Rock Island, Kathy and C.L. Witt of McMinnville, and Shelly and David Miller of Murfreesboro; son Chuck and Deb Grissom of McMinnville; sisters, Dorothy Clark of Elkhart, Ind., and Sue and Robert Lee of McMinnville; brother, Paul and Stella Grissom of McMinnville; grandchildren, Heather Comer, Kelci Ramsey, Nelson Huckeby, Tessa Curtis, Olivia Witt, Richard Grissom, and Miranda Grissom; and great-grandchildren, Ella Mae Curtis, Rachel Grissom, and Sarah Kate Grissom.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Bowman and Bro. Alan Collins will officiate. Interment will follow at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs.
