Warren County resident Willard Thomas Savage, 79, was born Oct. 31, 1933 and died Jan. 22 at his home following an extended illness.A retired supervisor with Ben Lomand Telephone Cooperative and member of the Congregational Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Mareal Samuel and Lola Beatrice Simmons Savage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Helen Shockley Savage, and two brothers, Dillard Savage and Jessie Savage.He is survived by wife, Jean Bonner Savage of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Freddie and Patsy Savage of Dunlap, and Billy and Helen Savage of McMinnville; three stepdaughters and their spouses, Phillicia Harbin, Gina and Terry Fann, and Dionne and Terry Fowler, all of McMinnville; five step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at High’s Chapel with Levoy Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Shockley Cemetery in Van Buren County.
