Rock Island resident and Grundy County native Wayne Lyndon Green, 74, was born Aug. 20, 1940 and died July 26 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed construction worker, he was the son of the late Walter and Grace Walene Roberts Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Green; brothers, James and Huston Green; long-time companion, Johnnie Mae Jones and grandson, Jeremy Lee Freeman.
