Morrison resident and Detroit, Mich., native Wanda May Harbaum Qualls, 75, died unexpectedly June 28 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.A caregiver for the elderly and sick and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of Charles Thomas and Sophie Blanche Zmuda Harbaum and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Odell Qualls on Oct. 9, 2004.She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Cheryl Lynn and James Scodellaro, and Robert Herman Qualls of Woodhaven, Mich., Dan Charles and Regina Qualls of Rock Island, James Alan and Ada Qualls of Morrison, Dawn Marie and Marc DeBlois of Dearborn, Mich., Edwin Lee and Carole Qualls, Johnny Dean and Joyce Qualls, all of Lincoln Park, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Adeline Masta of Bitely, Mich., and Linda Martin of Lincoln Park; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Lawson Qualls of Morrison, Izetta Inez Qualls of McMinnville, Doretha Qualls of Lincoln Park and Marcella Qualls Cox of Munfordville, Ky.; several nieces, nephews, great-niece and nephews.Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at High’s Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Grundy County. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at High’s.High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.) July 1, 2011
