Wanda Lee McCormick, 83

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wanda Lee McCormick, 83, was born Nov. 6, 1937 and died Dec. 2 at her residence following an extended illness.

Retired from Tennessee Apparel and a member of Friendship The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Clarence William and Laura Elaine Lane Hess. She was married on July 2, 1960 to Malcolm Everett McCormick, who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2013. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Donald Lee Hess, and sister Marcella Reynolds.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Herman and Etta Mae Workman of Rock Island, and Mark McCormick of McMinnville, daughter Judy McCormick and Alan Fults of Rock Island, six grandchildren Thomas Workman, Amanda Workman, Maranda Beard, Brittany and Michael Schofner, Daniel and Teah Gillespie, and Laura and Jerrad Devore, and 11 great-grandchildren, Taylan Hobbs, Ethen Workman, Kayden Coates, Baylor Beard, Shayla Gillette, Chloe Gillette, Abe Woods, Cain Woods, McKyna Schofner, Payton Schofner, and Micha Schofner.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at High’s Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Brick House Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
