McMinnville resident and Warren County native Virginia West Beckwith, 78, died Jan. 6 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.A librarian aide with Warren County Schools and a member of First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Hester L. and Daisy Cantrell West, and was also preceded in death by brother I.D. West; sister, Willie Mae “Bill” Cates, and great-grandson, Dax.She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Tom and Camille Beckwith of Murfreesboro and Ken Beckwith of McMinnville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Curtis and Helen Martin, both of McMinnville; brothers and sister-in-law, Luther and Betty West of McMinnville, and Tom West of Huntsville, Ala.Ms. Beckwith donated her body to forensic science. There are no services scheduled.
