McMinnville resident and Wayne, Mich., native Virginia May Anderson, 86, was born April 17, 1931 and died June 25 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.
Retired from Powermatic and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Elwin H. and Lucy Tallmage Hamilton. She was married to William L. Anderson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Rosemary Dian McLellon Pack; and brother, Gerald Hamilton.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Malinda Kay and Ronald Richardson of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Rocky Allen and Darlene Campbell Pack of Altamont; four grandchildren, Brandy Sue Pack, Lonnie Ray Richardson, Helen Richardson Harrell and Laura Ann Pack; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin, Kenneth and Harold Hamilton, all of Florida; two sisters, Geraldine Richards and Alice Faye Cummings, both of Michigan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fredy Ray and Patty Anderson of Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Anderson Scott of McMinnville; and nephew, Robert Anderson and wife Donna of McMinnville.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 at New Union Cemetery on Hwy. 30 with Daniel Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
