Mrs. Viola Katherine Winstead Teal, 79, died Monday, June 20, at her residence in Morrison. A native of Coffee County, she was born July 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Landing Hiram and Elizabeth Viola King Winstead. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Riley Kieth Teal; one daughter, Dana Sue Teal; one brother, Dale Winstead; and one sister, Nancy Poole.
Mrs. Teal is survived by two sons, Tony Teal and his wife Charlie of Shady Grove, and Ronnie Teal and his wife Sherrill of Mudd Creek; one brother, Hiram Winstead Jr. of Crestview, Fla.; five grandchildren, Carey Foster and her husband Tony, Scot Teal, Jennifer Cothran and her husband Johnny, Roger Teal and his wife Charity, and A.J. Teal and his wife Valerie; and 11 great-grandchildren, Bethany, Addison and Laura Cothran, Mary Katherine, Felix, Blake and Caroline Teal, Kinzie and Clayton Foster, and Riley and Alex Teal.
Funeral services are today at 2 p.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.coffeecountyfuneralchapel.com.
