Vera Mamie Hambrick Laxson was born, Oct. 14, 1932 in Stone Mountain, Ga., and died Feb. 17 at her home at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, W.C Hambrick and Glover Justice Hambrick, and by her brothers Billy and Richard Hambrick.She is survived by one sister, Betty J. Horne, niece Molly Kelly, and great niece and nephew Erin (Jim) Dobson and Chris (Kim) Kelly and a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her loving husband of 65 years J.C Laxson Jr. Commonly known as Granny, she was the beloved mother of five children, grandmother to 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.She was a Christian woman first and foremost.
