Venita Carlene Hosse, 51, a McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native was born Sept. 26, 1962 and died Nov. 18 in St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a sudden illness.A homemaker and a member of Gath Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Linda Bishop Yates of the Rocky River community and the late Carl Edward Yates.She was married to Roger Dale Hosse Sr., who survives. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by daughter, Tisha L. (Matthew F.) Cantrell of McMinnville; grandchildren, Shelby Alexis King and Brayden Matthew Cantrell; brother, Tim (Carolyn) Yates of the Rocky River community; nephew, Jason Yates of the Rocky River community; stepchildren, Delta Dawn Jones of Sparta, Kimberly Ann Taylor and Roger Dale Hosse, both of Rock Island; step-grandchildren, Megan Taylor, Colby Taylor, Brook Hosse, Austin Hosse, Jenna Jones and Jake Jones; step-great-grandchildren, Bentley Jones and Kinsley Jones.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday in High’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County.
