Uva Jean Barnes, 90, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died Sept. 30 at Woodbury Health Center following an extended illness.She was a retired sales clerk with JC Penney Company, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and daughter of the late Charles H. and Nannie Holt Lewis. She was married in 1942 to Raymond N. Barnes, who preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2008. Mrs. Barnes was a loving, caring mother and grandmother of sons Charles Ray and Ann Barnes of Murfreesboro, Tommy and Patsy Barnes of Lebanon; daughter Linda and Mike Durham of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Lynn Cope of Spencer, Dawn McCravy of Murfreesboro, Chuck Barnes of Lascassas and Melissa Barnes of Lebanon; step-grandson Brandon Durham of Virginia; step-granddaughter, Candy Blankenship of McMinnville; 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
