Treva Walker Barnes, 80, a Warren County resident and native, was born Sept. 21, 1938 and passed away Dec. 9 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro following a brief illness.
She was a retired secretary for Custom Construction and daughter of the late Radford J. and Ollie Mai Curtis Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Elmer B. Barnes.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by sister Ela Ray Rogers of Rock Island; two nieces and spouses, Pamela and Michael Vaughn and Vickie and Rusty Dodd, all of McMinnville; nephew and spouse, Keith and Theresia Rogers of Rock Island; great-nieces and great-nephews, Amanda Bonham of San Diego, Calif., Sarah Martin of Mt. Juliet, Derrin Rogers of Rock Island, Katie McCloud of Nashville and Lucas Rogers of Rock Island; a great-great-niece and great-great-nephew; and a host of special friends and family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at High’s Chapel with Kelly Marlowe and John Pelham to officiate. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
