McMinnville resident and Cannon County native Thomas Howard Duggin, Sr., 94, was born March 7, 1930 and died suddenly June 3, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville.
A United States Army veteran, owner of McMinnville Plaza Shopping Center and a member of the Baptist church, he was the son of the late Walter Drayden and Clara McNabb Duggin. He was married to Mary Lynn Cunningham Duggin and Eucle Mai Wallace Duggin, both who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by children, Martha Ann Duggin, Tommy Duggin and Chuck Duggin; step-son, Steve Montgomery and brother-in-law, Jim Hailey.
Mr. Duggin is survived by daughter, Sue Hamilton of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Thomas (Kelsey) Hamilton of Texas and Lara Beth Hamilton of Georgia; three step-children, Beverly Montgomery of Mt. Juliet, Adelia Montgomery of Smyrna and Bob (Wendy) Montgomery of Crossville; six step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Hailey of Nashville and four nieces, Claire Hailey of Lebanon and Lori Hailey, Meg (Tim) Neeley and Beth (Blaine) Walker, all of Nashville.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 7 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Glenn Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at High’s.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
