Theresa DeLynn Herbison, 54, a Warren County resident and native, was born Dec. 7, 1963 and passed away Oct. 4 in St. Thomas West Hospital following a sudden illness. She was a cook at Gribble’s Landing, member of the Baptist Church and daughter of the late Shirley Marlene Jernigan and Odie Ray Brock. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Ray and Molly Brock.


Ms. Herbison is survived by three children, Tristan Peyton Brock of Bone Cave, Jennifer Marlene Stoops and husband Jay of Columbia and Thomas Ezra Herbison of Lyles; two grandchildren, Christopher Peyton Brock and Blaine Ray Brock; stepmother, Joan Brock of Rock Island; siblings Mark Gregory Brock and wife Daphne of Smithville, Troy Lytle of Warren County, Janice Rena Cornett of Manchester, Dewey Brock and wife Melody, Gerry Ray Brock and Terry Clay Brock, all of Rock Island; and daughter-in-law Anastasia Brock of Warren County.


Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove to officiate. Interment will follow at Old Bybee Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
