Stella Loretta Bounds Young, 87, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan.7 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. She was born Nov. 27, 1929 in Warren County and was a homemaker and a member of McMinnville Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by parents, James and Jalie Mae Dodson Bounds, husband, Walter Wood Young, twin sons, Terry Lee Young and Jerry Lynn Young, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.Survivors include son Gary Walter Young, daughter Wanda Smith, daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Kelly Basham, daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Roger Taylor, son Ronald Young, all of McMinnville, stepdaughters, Waltyne Cantrell and Judy (Jerry) Adams, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.Funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 10 at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
