Spring Hill resident and Warren County native, Shirley Monroe Cole, 76, was born Nov. 25, 1943 and died March 22 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.

A retired maintenance manager with the U.S. Postal Service, a retired U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam with 30 years of service, and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Walter Monroe and Ruby Spencer Maynard Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ewin, Hugh and David Cole, and two sisters Billy Jo Barrett and Johnny Clendenon.

He is survived by three children and spouses, Rebecca and Frank Maselli of Raleigh, N.C., Seth Monroe and Ginger Cole of Hubert, N.C., and Rachel and Dicki Lunsford of Derby, Kan., six grandchildren, Dillon Cole, Austin Cole, Gerilyn Maselli, Rachel Maselli, Lucy Lunsford and Emma Lunsford; previous wife Shirley Ann Cole of Raleigh, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
