Shirley Dean Cripps, 76, of Smithville died Tuesday at her residence.
She was a faithful member of Smithville Church of Christ for 48 years and retired from Kingston Timers after 32 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Dan Gulley will officiate and burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. The family will then receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma Stiles Glenn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jerry Cripps, Jeanette Dodson, Brenda Chapman Cripps, James “Curly” Cripps, and Chloa Cripps.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years Johnnie Cripps Jr., children, Tammy and husband Steve Williams and Scott and wife Gena Cripps, grandchildren, Brenna Williams, Loren Cripps, and Tyree Cripps, sister, Linda Green, sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and M.B. Silcox, Brenda Cripps, Gene Cripps, and Glen Dodson, and several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mountain Empire Children’s Coral Academy (www.meccacademy.com) or to Smithville Church of Christ.
