Ruth Taylor, 84, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born March 8, 1936 and passed Sept. 29 following an extended illness.

She was a retired line supervisor with Findley Industries, a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Jennings Bryan and Nannie Myrtle Farless Nelson.

She was married to Nolan Rosco Taylor, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 2007. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace Nelson, J.B. Nelson, Everette Nelson, Wesley Nelson, and Lesley Nelson and sisters, Thelma Melton and Jeraldine Webb.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Paul (Nancy) Cunningham of Morrison, and Ricky Taylor of Nashville, grandson Adam (Kirsten) Cunningham of McMinnville, granddaughter Leah (Kyle) Price of Soddy Daisy, great-granddaughter Ave Gray Price and sister Emma (Harold) Hoover of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at High’s Chapel with Paul Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
