McMinnville resident and Warren County native Russell Thomas McGee, 70, was born Nov. 28, 1946 and died Oct. 19 at the VA Hospital in Nashville.Russ was a Marine Corp veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict. He also served in the Tennessee National Guard Troop 3/278ACR. He was a former member of the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5064, where he worked and was also a former quartermaster.Russ was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed learning about the beliefs of other religions. He retired in 2005 after working alongside Mike Oettinger in Mike Oettinger Construction Co.
