Roy Walker Fitts Jr., 67, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at River Park Hospital.
He was born Friday, July 25, 1947 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Dorothy Rocheleau Fitts and the late Roy Walker Fitts Sr.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps., from 1964 to 1968. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, extending three months on both tours.
He is survived by two sisters, Debbie Young of McMinnville and Sharon Tuharsky and husband John of Delton, Mich.; two brothers, Kenneth Fitts of McMinnville and Alan W. Fitts Sr. of McMinnville; special friends, Al and Judy Murray of Wyandott, Mich.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, two aunts, an uncle and many friends.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery at Smartt with Rev. Robert Case officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Disabled American Veteran Fund. Veterans honors by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
