Rock Island resident and Hamilton County native Roy Caswell Cornett, 77, was born July 26, 1940 and died July 22 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired engineer with DeZurik Corporation and a member of the Christian faith, he was the son of the late Elmer Roy and Mary Alene Moon Cornett. He was married July 26, 1961 to Katherine Redmon Cornett of Rock Island.
