McMinnville resident and Trenton, Mo., native Ronald Lee Southers, 75, was born April 13, 1940 and died May 22 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.Retired from Case Tractor Company, a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Everett R. and Marguerite Newton Southers.He was married to first wife, Dona C. Gordy Southers, who preceded him in death in 1994; and second wife, Joyce Basham Southers, who preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2014.He is survived by son Donald C. Southers and daughter Rhonda Hili of League City, Texas. Per his request, Mr. Southers was cremated. There will be no visitation or service at High’s.High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
