Robert Robinson, 81, a Murfreesboro resident and Franklin County native was born Oct. 20, 1936 and died June 9 at Boulevard Terrace.He was a retired employee of McMinnville City Public Works, member of Clark United Methodist Church, and son of the late Lee and Lillie Bell Jones Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Yvonne Marie Hancock Robinson; brothers James Thomas Jones, Willie Robertson, Donald Robertson and Earl Jones; and sister Pearline Ikeard.Mr. Robinson is survived by sisters, Birda Thomas of Murfreesboro, Lillie Mae Martin of Detroit, Mich., and Carolyn Sue Cummings of Murfreesboro; devoted nieces, Misty Watkins and Chris Martin, both of Murfreesboro; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Riverside Cemetery with Jerry Rutledge to officiate. There will be no service or visitation at High’s.
