McMinnville resident and Warren County native Robert Lee Kirby, 79, was born Jan. 2, 1939 and died July 21 at his residence following an extended illness. Retired from the state of Tennessee and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Willie H. and Hallie Miller Kirby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene, Herman, Blotcher and Willie H. Kirby Jr.; three sisters Pauline Campbell, Alene Hattaway and Mildred Reed; brother-in-law Gene Allison; and niece Lesa Tubb.
