Campaign resident and Pikeville native Robert “Joe” Joseph White, 62, died Nov. 4 at his home after an extended illness.A carpenter and an attender of the Church of Christ, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the son of the late William and Anna Harris White and was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy White and Johnny Cox.He is survived by daughter, Gail T. White and her fiance, Kevin Killian of McMinnville; son Tommy J. White of McMinnville; sister Faye and husband, Dewey George of McMinnville; brothers James E. and wife, Debbie White, Kenneth D. White, Larry W. White and Carl W. and wife Vickie White, all of McMinnville; halfsister Mary K. White of McMinnville; halfbrother Ervin C. White of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and eight grandchildren.Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Danny Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
