Robert Cecil Smith, 78, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Monday, Nov. 30 at his residence.He was born Dec. 31, 1936 in Cannon County and was a retired assembly line worker with Ford Motor Company and a member of UAW Chapter 849. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by parents Thurman Austin and Georgia Young Smith, wife Florence Hoeppner Smith, and brothers Truman Clarence Smith, Jack D. Smith and Donnie Ray Smith.Survivors include his daughters, Penny Sue Allen and Connie Lynn Campbell; son Roger Clay (Wendy) Smith; grandchildren Jasmine Davenport and Ashley and Kayla Campbell; great-grandchildren Florence and Kenneth Davenport and Stella Lindsey; sister Norma Jean Bogle, brother Glen Edward Smith, and special niece Lisa Marie Yoakum.A graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury. Elder Ricky Arnold will officiate.
