Raymond Earl McCormick, 81

Morrison resident and Warren County native Raymond Earl McCormick, 81, was born July 13, 1933 and died April 7 at his residence following a five-year illness.
A retired logger and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Jim and Minnie Sanders McCormick. He was married to Tressie Myers McCormick, who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Waymon Earl, Larry David and Bud McCormick.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Randall Lee Van Hooser of Altamont; three grandchildren and spouses, Jovonna and Mark Tate of Winchester, Tara and Shawn Prater of Altamont, and Tressie Jo Van Hooser of Altamont; six great-grandchildren, Draven and Jerion Tate, and Kyler, Trace, Kade and Leara Prater; companion, Nancy Northcutt and family; brother, Howard McCormick of McMinnville; three sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Michigan, Lorene Newby of the Centertown community and Mildred; and caregiver, Brenda Myers.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at High’s Chapel with Ricky Basham and Dal Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High’s.
