McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ray Moore, 82, was born Jan. 6, 1929 and died July 2 at his residence following an extended illness.The owner of Ray Moore Insurance, United States Air Force veteran of Korea and member of Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William Erbie and Julia Macon Vaughn Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Sedryc Simmons; brother, Clarence Moore; and sister Betty Ruth Ramsey.He was married to Betty Sue Molloy Moore of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen Ray and Mary Moore of McMinnville, and Michael Molloy Moore of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; daughter, Terrie Mullican of McMinnville; grandchildren, Melissa Webster, Stephen Ray Moore Jr., Brent Moore, Bryan Moore, Michael Molloy Moore Jr., Benjamin Moore, Lori Bethe Simmons and Jennifer Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Paul Moore, and David and Jane Moore, all of McMinnville; and sister-in-law, Sarah Moore of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today in High’s Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating.
