Rachel Elizabeth Barnes, 74, a McMinnville resident and Marion County native, died Aug. 2 in Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was a homemaker, member of the Baptist Church, and daughter of the late Fred and Nora Nunley McHones. Mrs. Barnes was married Feb. 15, 1963 to Billy Charles Barnes, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2009.
