Penelope “Penny” Faye Smithson, 59, passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, at her home. She was a native of Warren County.

She is survived by her mother, Carlos Faye Davis Smithson of Woodbury, uncle Glenn (Debra) Davis of Woodbury, aunt Deborah Gibson of Readyville, nephews and nieces Richie Davis, Andy Davis, Jr. Davis, and Vicki Pennington, great-nephews and nieces, Jack Davis, Hunter Davis, Josh Davis, Nathan Ely, Lily Davis, Rose Davis, Abby Davis, Miranda Johnson, and Keli Davis; great great nephews and nieces, Austin Johnson, Avery Johnson, Aden Ely, Cadence Ely, and Presley Davis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Loy Willard Smithson.

Penny was a member of the church of Christ and was an RN at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital. She loved all animals, but especially her cats and dogs.

Graveside service was Monday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Blue Wing Cemetery with Bro. Norman Pelham officiating. Pallbearers were Richie Davis, Andy Davis, Jr. Davis, Hunter Davis, Austin Johnson, Jack Davis, and Josh Davis.
