McMinnville resident Orval David King, 82, died Friday, Aug. 23, at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
The founder of OK Heating & Air and a member of Christian Fellowship Church, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lilly Mae Cooley King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Joanna Panter King, sisters Inis Crowe and Jessie Watson, and brothers Avery, Ossie, Warnie and Junior King.
He is survived by daughters Sharon Lawson and Lisa Craven, both of McMinnville, sons and daughters-in-law Lynn and Renaa King of McMinnville, Mark and Kathy King of Rock Island, and Darrell and Tina King of McMinnville, special granddaughter Katrina (Bucky) Hobbs of McMinnville, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters Opal Davis and Edna Campbell, both of McMinnville, and brothers Roy King of South Carolina and Ray King of Ohio.
Funeral service is set for Monday at 2 p.m. at High’s Chapel with Scotty Lawson and Danny Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. till the time of the service at High’s
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
